Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), established in 1971, has its roots dating back to 1868 with the founding of an agricultural school in Saidapet, Chennai. Initially affiliated with Madras University in 1920, TNAU has evolved into a pivotal institution for agricultural education and research in South India. The university is home to a diverse array of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including Bachelor's degrees in Agriculture, Horticulture, and Forestry, as well as specialized programs such as B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering and Biotechnology.
