Sekolah Penggerak is a transformative initiative launched by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture, aimed at advancing education throughout the country. This program focuses on fostering holistic student development, enhancing both competencies—such as literacy and numeracy—and character building, all while prioritizing the capacity of educational leaders and teachers.

The Sekolah Penggerak program seeks to elevate both public and private schools, facilitating a progressive transformation across various educational settings. It emphasizes the collective effort of stakeholders, including parents, community leaders, and educators, to innovate learning approaches that benefit all Indonesian students.

Central to this initiative is the Guru Penggerak, or Teacher Leader, who embraces a student-centered learning philosophy and leads educational ecosystems. To qualify, candidates undergo a rigorous selection and training process lasting nine months, supported by professional instructors and facilitators. With a commitment to creating an improved educational landscape, Sekolah Penggerak is dedicated to realizing the vision of Indonesia's educated and independent future.
