World Council of Churches

The World Council of Churches (WCC) is a prominent fellowship encompassing 352 churches from over 120 countries, representing more than 580 million Christians globally. Founded to promote Christian unity, the WCC includes a diverse array of denominations, such as most Orthodox, Anglican, Baptist, Lutheran, Methodist, and Reformed churches, as well as numerous United and Independent congregations. Its mission is to achieve visible unity in faith and eucharistic communion, affirming the belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior according to scripture.
