The Middle East Institute (MEI), founded in 1946, stands as the oldest Washington-based institution dedicated to the study of the Middle East. As a non-partisan think tank, MEI promotes expert policy analysis, educational programs, and cultural initiatives aimed at enhancing understanding between the United States and the Middle Eastern region.
