Bayfield School District is actively engaging its community to address the long-term needs of its aging facilities through a master facilities plan. District officials are hosting a series of three workshops designed to gather input from 30 to 40 residents, ensuring that the community's voice drives the planning process. The focus will be on updating and maintaining key structures, including the Bayfield Middle School and the historic buildings dating back to 1923 and 1950.

Chamberlin Architects, a Grand Junction-based firm known for successful past projects within the district, has been chosen to develop this master plan. Workshops will provide stakeholders with opportunities to share insights, discuss identified deficiencies, and explore potential solutions. The first workshop is scheduled for September 4 at Bayfield Intermediate School, with the following sessions set for September 29 and October 29.
