Beat is the UK's leading charity dedicated to supporting individuals affected by eating disorders, having been established in 1989 under the name Eating Disorders Association. With a mission to alleviate the suffering caused by these complex mental health conditions, Beat provides crucial resources for understanding and overcoming various eating disorders, including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, and avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID).

Aware that approximately 1.25 million individuals in the UK face these challenges, Beat offers a national Helpline for immediate support, providing essential guidance to those seeking treatment and equipping family members with tools to assist their loved ones.
