The popular game unveiled a refreshed logo.

“Our updated logo introduces new custom letterforms that are lighter in weight and reflect a more modern aesthetic.” shares Founder and CEO David Baszucki on their official blog.  “The second “o” has returned as a letter, giving more focus to our iconic tilt. The tilt has been slightly refined but continues to maintain its distinct character.”

Roblox is a free-to-play mobile and online gaming platform created by Erik Cassel and David Baszucki in 2004. Released in 2006 on Windows, the platform was introduced to be a game creation platform as well, where users can program their games using assets that were built in Roblox. Aside from games, users can also create items and objects that were sold using the platform’s currency, Robux. The in-game currency can then be exchanged for real-world currency.

The platform has also been released in other operating systems aside from Windows. In 2012, Roblox was released on iOS, and in 2014, an Android version was also released. A VR version of the platform was also created around 2016, and when Roblox VR was launched for the Oculus Rift, there were already more than ten million games that can be played in 3D.

Since its release, Roblox has gained a massive amount of users. In 2020, the platform had over 164 million users monthly. And because of the reception, Roblox hosted virtual events that drew hundreds and thousands of viewers and even held concerts for chart-topping artists like Lil Nas X, Twenty-One Pilots, and Zara Larsson.
