San Diego's Museum of Contemporary Art has released a new logo and updated brand identity created by LA-based Happening Studio.
The rebrand comes just in time for the reopening of the museum's flagship location in La Jolla, California on April 9, 2022.
"Since its founding in 1941, the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego has been positioned in the center of an ever-evolving community, serving as a seaside beacon of inspiration and creativity to the San Diego-Tijuana region and beyond," said The David C. Copley Director & CEO, Kathryn Kanjo, in a published statement. "In 2022, the Museumβs vision is realized with the completed expansion of its La Jolla campus and the unveiling of the Joan and Irwin Jacobs Building at MCASD."
