The social media management platform has unveiled a new brand system.
"After nearly 14 years defining the industry, it was time to rethink our integrated branding strategy to better reflect our position and our direction as the social experts, trusted partners, and joyful mentors,” says Tom Keiser, Chief Executive Officer of Hootsuite. “We’re showing the world that Hootsuite doesn’t just ‘get’ social…we are social.”
Created by Ryan Holmes in 2008, Hootsuite is a social media management platform headquartered in Vancouver. It enables users to easily manage several popular social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube, all in one place.
The tool was initially launched in November 2008 as BrightKit, after being created by Holmes to help him manage multiple social media networks for his digital services agency, Invoke Media. In 2009, it was renamed as Hootsuite and was launched as an independent company soon after. As of 2010, the tool was managing over one million social media accounts and had over 400k users.
Currently, the social media management platform has 18 million users worldwide, which include companies like Facebook, HBO, Ikea, WWF, Bacardi, Panasonic, Virgin Group, and Bumble. Almost 80% of Fortune 1000 companies reportedly use Hootsuite’s services at present. Their services range from social marketing to social commerce and social care.
