The country's newly-elected government comes with a new brand identity.
"The Federal Government's new brand is vibrant, colorful and diverse like Brazil. The colors were inspired by the Brazilian flag, combined with red and black to represent diversity." according to a press release. "The typography is comprised of the stylized use of elements from the national flag, such as the upward pointing triangle and the central blue circle."
Brazil is a federal presidential constitutional republic, in which the President of Brazil is both head of state and head of government. The President is elected for a four-year term, with the possibility of re-election for a non-consecutive term.
The Brazilian government is divided into three branches: the executive, legislative and judicial. The executive branch is headed by the President and is responsible for the administration of the country. The legislative branch is composed of the National Congress, which is made up of the Federal Senate and the Chamber of Deputies. The Federal Senate represents the states and the Federal District, while the Chamber of Deputies represents the people. The judicial branch is made up of the Federal Supreme Court and lower federal courts.
Brazil has a mixed economy, and is considered to be one of the world's major economies. The country is a member of the G20, the Union of South American Nations, the Organization of American States, the Community of Portuguese Language Countries and the Latin Union. Brazil is also a founding member of the United Nations, and a member of numerous other international organizations.
